Elia Barbon Accident: Obituary, Cause Of Death, Funeral

On Tuesday in North Columbus, Ohio, a student from Perry Middle School, age 11, died in a tragic vehicle accident.

On April 2, 2023, an accident resulted in the deaths of Elia Barbon, a dancer for the Cutting Edge Centre, and two other students from Perry Middle School.

The car accident occurred in the region of North High Street and Lazelle Road intersection at 6:30 in the morning, according to Cutting Edge Dance Centre.

After learning that a Kia and a tractor-trailer had collided at the crossroads, police arrived on the scene. Elia Barbon, of Columbus, Ohio, was reportedly declared dead at the scene of the incident.

After being taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital, both drivers were deemed stable. In a letter distributed to district families later on Tuesday, Worthington Schools revealed that the victim was a sixth-grader at Perry Middle School and the victim’s stepmother works for the district.

According to the district, persons in need can access counselors and support staff.

Superintendent Trent Bowers wrote in the letter,

“We understand that the loss of a young life is an unspeakable sorrow, and our thoughts and condolences go out to the family, friends, and loved ones affected by this loss. All those who knew the student would feel a vacuum left by her loss because she was a cherished member of our school community.”

The details of the funeral services could be revealed later. Everyone is shocked and saddened as soon as the horrible event is acknowledged.

The Cutting Edge Centre has set up a GoFundMe account to assist with collecting money for Elia’s family at this difficult time.
