Jeff Olan was born in Gary, Indiana, on July 30, 1961, to Sol & Estelle Olan. He graduated from Munster High School in Munster, Indiana, and attended college at Indiana University NW in Gary, Indiana, studying drama and communications. Since 1980, he has been involved extensively in a multitude of areas in film, television and radio.
